River North Taekwondo is a result of 35+ years of Taekwondo experience. Master Chris Stewart began his Taekwondo career in 1980 and was taught by one of the original Korean Masters that immigrated to Canada. Studying Taekwondo from an original Master allowed Master Stewart to learn the historic strength of Taekwondo and teach it's modern methods
Master Stewart competed in sparring and Poomsae at a Provincial and National Level. He achieved his 6th Degree Black Belt certification in 2018.
Master Stewart is a World Taekwondo International Referee, and a Level N1 National Referee in Kyrorugi and a National Level N2 Referee in Poomsae. He has been a referee for over 20 years and was on the Referee Committee for the 2002 North American Indigenous Games in Winnipeg.
